What I do
Through Cooperfexion, I help brands and inventors bring better products to market:
Product innovation and concepting
I find the gap in a category and sketch the leapfrog product ideas that fill it.
Development to production
I consult on design, engineering, sourcing, tooling, QC and cost negotiation with overseas factories.
New product licensing
I design original, patented products, and license them to brands to sell in their assortments.
Track record
I spent more than two decades at Polder Products, a better-tier housewares brand. I started there as Director of Marketing and rose through VP of Marketing & Sales, Executive Vice President, and finally to CEO (2024–2026).
As CEO, I led the company through tariffs, retailer shifts toward private label, and shifting consumer spending and demographics. During this time, I moved 45% of our supplier base out of China to balance the tariff scenario and optimize costs. Throughout, I kept the brand focused on what has always set it apart: original, innovative product solutions.
Across my years there:
- I pursued steady, managed growth that let the brand build lasting equity, centering on four categories across multiple channels.
- I created a new subcategory in hair-styling tool storage starting with the Style Station product. This product sold more than 3 million units and grew into a lasting multi-channel storage line.
- I built Costco into the brand's #1 customer across the U.S. and all international divisions for multiple years.
- I led a fast-moving development team that launched 20–23 new items a year.
- I consolidated the supplier base to get better volume pricing and develop long-term engineering and development partnerships.
- I played a central role in the brand's sale to private equity in 2016.
Before Polder, I was in marketing roles at Cuisinart and Conair. I started my career with nine years at prototype, industrial design and tooling firms. That's where I learned how things actually get made, and it still shapes every product I design.
